Congratulations to East Herrington Primary Academy who have won the NEPIC Annual Primary School Environmental Award.  As well as the award, they have also won £2,000 to develop an allotment and wild meadow area in the school grounds.  Miss Baxter, the Science and Environment Lead, worked with children in Years 2 and 4 to on a design for the areas. The children came up with lots of ideas and they were very clear about what they wanted. They were also responsible for costing out the project and deciding what they need to buy in order to establish the areas. Miss Baxter looks forward to sharing pictures as the areas develop and children begin to use them.
